The product range includes Prime Labels, Wine Labels, Personal Care Labels and Filmic Labels. In the recently concluded, LabelExpo India exhibition company buys a brand new HP Indigo 6K digital press.
On the HP Indigo 6K digital press acquisition, Trilok Mittal, Managing Director of Wonderpac said, ‘We have been using UV inkjet technology for the past 3-4 years for digital printing. Currently, we are doing 30% of digital printing and 70% Flexo printing, but after this installation, we plan to increase our digital production. we want to shift to toner technology because there are some constraints in UV inkjet technology. Few applications cannot be performed in a UV Inkjet press, such as Shrinks Sleeves, Pouches, and Mono Cartons, but they can be done in HP Indigo 6K press. The new marvel will enhance our manufacturing capabilities, and we could offer additional products to our customers. We are targeting a few specific applications for which we have bought the machine, like Shrink Sleeves, Pouching, Mono Cartons, Lamitubes, and Self Additive labels.”
HP Indigo 6K Digital Press
The company started its printing operations started in 1999 with the manufacturing of holograms. In 2003 the company began manufacturing Labels after installing the Mark Andy flexo press. Subsequently, in 2010 they got another Mark Andy in 2012.
“In a printing house, we should have different technology to cater to all customers. 60% of new customers come for short-run jobs. Many start-ups require low-quantity jobs, which is impossible in a flexo machine; that is why we opted for the HP Indigo digital press to cater to the new brands. The press will open up infinite possibilities for us in terms of product offerings. We cater to all segments Cosmetics, Pharma, Pesticides, FMCG etc. We already have 2 flexo machines from Mark Andy.” concludes Trilok.
