Bengaluru-based Usha Prints has invested in a Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 digital label press to cater to the digital labels market in southern India.

Started in 1985, Usha Prints is a premier offset and digital print service provider with multiple outlets across three cities of Karnataka. The company has nine branches in Bengaluru, two in Mysuru, and one in Tumkur. Usha Prints, the offset division of the company, has four offset presses – three Komori and one Heidelberg. The company offers a wide range of printing solutions, including brochures, flyers, business cards, banners sheetfed labels, and other marketing materials.

At Pamex, BH Srinivas, the owner of Usha Prints, informed us that they have also invested in a high-end flexo label press for printing long-run labels, and other finishing and converting equipment.

Srinivas said, ‘The new AL 230 will help them print short-run and long-run jobs for labels and cater to a vast segment, including food and cosmetics. We are already printing offset labels and have a fair idea about the markets in Bengaluru and nearby locations.

Pawan Chauhan, business head, IP business at Konica Minolta, said, ‘We are delighted with this installation because with this installation, we have achieved two milestones – first, it is the first AL230 installation in Bengaluru. Second, with this installation, now even the job work customers are coming forward to go with digital label press installations. We are thankful to Usha Prints for having its confidence in our company.’
