Konica Minolta recently showcased a range of digitally printed samples at CMPL, emphasizing their ability to connect brands with their print converters effectively. This initiative highlights the innovative solutions offered by Konica Minolta, demonstrating their commitment to enhancing collaboration and communication within the industry. By presenting these samples, they are not only showcasing their technology but also providing valuable insights into how these solutions can benefit both brands and converters in today’s competitive marketplace. Attendees had the opportunity to see firsthand the quality and versatility of Konica Minolta’s products, reinforcing the brand’s position as a leader in the printing industry
Viajy Kamat, national sales head for Konica Minolta, said, “In this CMPL exhibition, our participation is focused on fostering connections between brands and our customers rather than selling Konica Minolta products. We are thrilled to showcase the innovative samples created by our customers, which highlight our three business verticals within industrial printing: Label, MGI, and Accuriojet KM-1e. In the digital labels segment, we emphasize various cutting-edge features such as variable data printing, security enhancements, and QR Code integration. Additionally, MGI offers remarkable digital embellishment techniques, particularly in packaging, where we apply UV and foil elements to create visually stunning results.”
Konica Minolta offers a range of digital label printing machines, with the AccurioLabel series being prominent. These machines, particularly the AccurioLabel 400, are designed for various label printing needs, from short-run to longer print runs, and offer features like high speed, white toner capabilities, and automation for increased productivity. They are known for their ability to print on a wide range of substrates, including various papers and films, and their compatibility with variable data printing.
The Konica Minolta MGI press refers to a line of digital spot UV coating and hot foiling presses developed by MGI Digital Technology and distributed by Konica Minolta. These machines, like the JETvarnish 3DS and JETvarnish 3D One, are designed to add special effects and embellishments to printed materials, such as spot UV coating, 3D tactile varnishing, and hot foiling. They offer a digital alternative to traditional methods like screen printing and hot stamping, enabling variable data printing and personalized effects.
The Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 is a B2+ sheet-fed digital press known for its high-quality UV inkjet printing capabilities. It utilizes UV ink to produce sharp text, natural gloss finishes, and accurate color matching on a wide variety of media, including coated and uncoated paper, and some specialty substrates. The KM-1 is designed for short-run, on-demand printing and can handle various commercial and packaging applications.
“Many brands are often unaware of the various print facilities available in India. When they discover these options and view the samples, it creates a sense of excitement, leading us to connect them with our existing customers. This opens up new business opportunities for our customers who wish to participate. In our recent exhibition, we actively promoted this concept by supporting several customers, such as Great Eastern Printer and Dino Labels, to have their own booths. This initiative not only showcases their capabilities but also encourage collaboration within the industry.” concludes Kamat.
