At the Pamex 2024 trade show, Kongsberg impressed attendees with its cutting-edge technology by displaying the X20 Precision Edge Cutting Systems. This revolutionary system offers precise and efficient cutting for a wide range of materials, including paper, cardboard, and other packaging materials. With its advanced features such as automatic sheet feeding and intelligent job recognition, the X20 is designed to increase productivity and reduce waste in the printing and packaging industries. Visitors at the Kongsberg booth were able to witness firsthand the precision and speed of this cutting system, solidifying its reputation as a leader in the industry.

Muhammad Rafiq Shaikh, Sales & Service Leader for Kongsberg Systems said, “The industry has been abuzz with activity in recent installations. Globe Print and Pack, a prominent folding carton company in Goregaon (Mumbai), has successfully incorporated Kongsberg X20 cutting table into its operations. Similarly, Welvin, a corrugator hailing from Marol (Mumabi), enhanced its efficiency by installing Kongsberg X44 cutting table. Not to be left behind, Parksons in Mumbai and Printcare in Sri Lanka also joined the trend by integrating cutting-edge machinery into their facilities. The spotlight was on a particular machine, pre-sold to LineX in Delhi, which garnered attention at a recent exhibition.”

Praising the changing mindset of trade show visitors, he conveyed, “the visitors have become more knowledgeable and selective in their approach. They no longer visit every stall but focus on what is relevant and beneficial for their business. This shift in attitude is a positive sign for exhibitors, who can now expect more serious and purposeful interactions with potential clients.” Shaikh also mentioned that this was not the case a few years ago when visitors often made their way through every stall without a clear purpose. He appreciates that visitors now value their and exhibitors’ time, making the entire experience more productive for both parties. This focused approach is a testament to the growth and development of the trade show industry.

Mouna Rajani, Marketing Manager for Kongsberg APAC, said, “Kongsberg has recently completed the acquisition of Multicam, broadening its product offerings to include engineering solutions. With this new development, Kongsberg is venturing into producing plasma cutters, waterjets, and more, diversifying its portfolio. This expansion strengthens our presence in the industry and enables us to cater to a wider market by offering cutting-edge solutions for materials such as tiles, metals, paper, and paperboard.”

Kongsberg is renowned for its unwavering commitment to quality, as evidenced by its impressive track record of nearly 225 successful installations. What sets Kongsberg apart is not just the number of installations but the longevity of these systems, with over 90 installations still thriving after over a decade. It speaks volumes about the reliability and durability of Kongsberg’s products, showcasing their dedication to providing top-notch solutions that stand the test of time.
