Echaar conducted an open house (13-20 April) to demonstrate its Flexomaster HR500 CI flexo press at Ambernath, Mumbai. Kirti Panchal, the managing director of Echaar and the person behind the engineering of the CI Flexo project, talked about the company’s experience in building CI Flexo presses over the last several years.
The open house welcomed more than 100 packaging converters and 500 industry visitors and brand owners. It demonstrated the progress Echaar has made from its Flexomaster HR500 CI flexo press in the last five years. “Echaar has learned a lot from the industry over these years, and with the Flexomaster HR500 CI flexo press, the company is ready with its top-of-the-line high-speed flexo made in India press,” says Panchal.
Reviewing Flexomaster HR500 Peter, Krisflexipack says “There are not many CI press manufacturers in India and the convertor has to import the machine from another country. The construction of the machine is good and the samples are very encouraging. All technology used is the machine is from a reputed company.”-

Echaar has partnered with CT Service S.R.L.S. owned by Claudio Maggio, an ex-founder and director of Uteco. Maggio has also worked with some leading Italian CI flexo press manufacturers. This Flexomaster HR500 has a speed of 500 meters per minute and works effortlessly with water and solvent-based inks. The press is based on the Easylock technology- a patented technology of Echaar’s partner, Italy’s CT Service (S.R.L.S). It also includes a carbon fibre doctor chamber, auto wash system, heavy-duty turrets on unwinder and rewinder, and an automatic reel lifter.
In December 2020, Echaar hosted an open house to display the Flexodelight HL 400 CI press. The company later inked an agreement with Kolkata-based Kalyani Packaging to supply its first Flexodelight HL 400, which has a drum diameter of 1850 mm with Hestalloy coatings and a speed of 400 meters per minute. With eight printing stations and a maximum web width of 1350 mm, the Flexodelight HL400 can handle solvent and water-based inks. The press can print on LDPE & HDPE, PET, BOPP and paper.
Along with CI flexo presses for both mid and high-speed segments, Echaar is now focusing on the entry-level segment. Reportedly, the company is developing the Flexosmart CI flexo press featuring a speed of 300 meters per minute. With this press, many converters can shift to CI flexo printing as the price point is highly affordable.
