The 5th edition of the CMPL Expo was a huge success. Over 12,500 trade professionals met more than 300 exhibitors from the food, beverage, nutraceuticals, non-food, packaging, design, print, flavours, fragrances, and raw materials, all under one roof.
The show was inaugurated by Mr. Uday Samant, Cabinet Minister (Industries), Government of Maharashtra. Other dignitaries included Mr. Tolhah Ubaidi, Acting Consul General, Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, Mumbai Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Nugroho Priyo Pratomo, Director – Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), Chennai Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Ajay Vashi, Industry Veteran with Senior roles with Lakme and Hindustan Unilever in Manufacturing and R&D and Dr. Prabodh S. Halde, Head – Regulatory, Marico Limited.
The Knowledge Series, held alongside the show, also presented more than 10 conference sessions with Speakers from bigbasket.com, Mensa Brands, Hindustan Foods Limited, Reliance Retail, ElasticRun, Health & Glow, Theka Coffee, Wellness Forever Medicare Limited, MAXIMA SOLUTIONS, centdegrés, mCaffeine, ALPLA Group, NielsenIQ, Uniclan Healthcare, NexTen Brands, Candor Foods, CASMB to name a few.
For the very first time, CMPL also introduced international country representation offices, which included KOTRA, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), and the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Chennai.

‘We only export 20% of our production, but gradually we are increasing our export and want to be a complete export company, as transportation is a big issue in the domestic market, and we get a better price in the export market. We majorly export to Dubai, Africa, Australia, the USA, and other countries. ‘

‘Our new plant will open on 28th of May. Machines are under installation in the plant. Now we have a team of 180 members.
Brands demand innovation. We supply our products to complete Pan India. We are participating for the second time in CMPL. We have got a good response from the show. Brands and elite customers are directly coming to the show.’
Speaking about the awards, He added, ‘Recently, we got Global Award for Excellence in printing for Labels and Cartons from AIFMP. The label industry is growing, but there is good competition. With our new installation of 9 colour UV Graphics press, we can add value to our jobs; we can deliver more products, increase our product profile, cater to more customers, and meet their demand.’
The CMPL garnered tremendous response from exhibitors and visitors alike who engaged in discovering new opportunities, emerging trends, and industry developments to expand their brands further.
The next edition of CMPL will take place 15-17 May 2024; the event will now extend to a 3-day show.
