BGR Tech Ltd, a Prenora holding company in India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Elchemtech Co. Ltd, South Korea. The agreement is aimed at introducing the Advanced Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyser (PEMWE) by means of supply of their PEM electrolyser which shall be further integrated with BGR Tech’s Balance of Plant (BoP) for projects in India.
The MoU was signed by BGR Tech Ltd’s Founder and Chairperson, Ms. Priyadershini Raghupathy and Mr. S.B. Moon, CEO of Elchemtech Co. Ltd in the presence of Mr. Donghyun Kim, Managing Director and other dignitaries from KOTRA – Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency at the recently concluded India Energy Week 2025. Furthermore, both companies are exploring the possibilities of manufacturing or assembling the PEM stack in India based on Elchemtech’s Know-Hows to support the “Make in India” policy.
One of Elchemtech flagship products, H2Lyser© PEMWE, is popular for its high efficiency and compact design. This is one of the best and most compact electrolyser systems in the world with a single stack capacity of 240 Nm³/hr or 1.25 MW. Under this collaboration, BGR Tech will integrate its Balance of Plant (BoP) which includes the Ultrapure Water Treatment unit, Gas Separation Unit (GSU), Hydrogen Purification Unit (HPS), Oxygen Purification Unit (OPS), Low pressure Storage and allied facilities in modular skid configurations. This partnership helps BGR Tech expand its range of products and demonstrates further engineering innovation and systems integration by BGR Tech.
