At the much-awaited Plastindia 2023, UFlex’s engineering, chemicals, and printing cylinder businesses showcased their wide range of printing cylinders, inks, adhesives, coatings, advanced printing, laminating, and slitting machines at booth no A-06, Hall No 11.
Mr.Ajay Tandon, President, Engineering business and new product development, UFlex Limited said, “Plastindia is one of the largest platforms to display raw material, converting machines, processing machines, and other products and solutions catering to the packaging and printing industries. Here we are promoting our rotogravure machine with quick auto change over trolley and displaying a solventless laminator with improved tension control systems at the stand. The displayed laminator has a speed of 400 to 450 mtr/min. We also have a different range of slitters, like the new Ecoslit- 600, which can accurately perform at 600 mtrs/mins, giving value for money and better ROI to customers.”
Recently, we have introduced the automatic ink trolley change system. It is the first-of- its-kind innovation in the world, where the trolley change-over happens with the press of a button. Usually, in a gravure press, it takes almost 45 minutes to do a change-over of the job, and it is the most tedious process to change the cylinders, ink, doctor blade, etc.one by one and at every station.
We wanted to give a helping hand to our customers with our innovation, the automatic change trolley system, where they can save on time with fast change-over and get higher productivity.”
The features of the automatic ink change trolley system are as below:
- The unique concept of equipping the trolley with a doctor blade
- Detachable concept of ink tank with “click in” positioning to avoid ink return mechanism separately
- Doctor Blade oscillation through the pneumatic motor with variable speed control, moving over rollers guide for firmness
- Precision movement for positioning of the trolley at desired locations simultaneously for all stations
- By virtue of automation, the trolley becomes an integral part of the main frame in working, helping in accurate output
Talking about CI Flexo, he added, “We have developed CI flexo machines in collaboration with our European partner. The gravure is more prevalent in India as 80% of flexible packaging converters have gravure machines”.
“As more and more jobs migrate to the sustainable family consisting of LDPE or HDPE and stretchable films, CI will come into play because the film wraps around the drum of the machine while printing and hence does not stretch. It is challenging to print thinner films in gravure. We are pleased to share that our customers are really happy with our machines and customized solutions”.
