Texlabels India focuses equally on domestic and international markets

‘You create BRAND…We LABEL it’— this catchphrase is common to those who have interacted with Texlabels India Pvt Ltd, formerly Interact Texlabels (P) Ltd, a globally present manufacturer of self-adhesive labels, based out of Howrah in Kolkata. In an exclusive interaction with Labels Flexibles & More, Mr Anurag Mohan, Managing Director of Texlabels India Pvt Ltd, shares about the company’s growing momentum in the domestic and international markets.

Predominantly engaging in manufacturing whole varieties of self-adhesive labels primarily comprising barcode labels, multicolour product labels, security labels, tamper-evident labels for the retail and allied industries, Texlabels India gives unique identification to brands and products. “Identification is the label, and we produce it, aesthetically adding value and quality to brands and products,” asserts Mr Anurag Mohan.

He adds, “We add colours to the product, we give identification to the product, because any brand or product, be it a medicine, liquor bottle, shampoo container, vegetable oil, lubricants or anything under the sun in this modern world where new products keep coming up, where brands are born, where stories take shape, we are the catalyst that brings them to life.”

Founded in the year 2001 and incorporated in 2010 as Interact Texlabels (P) Ltd, now, Texlabels India Pvt Ltd, the company keeps indulging in constant analysis and studies related to market trends, technologies, and related activities in the world of labels to provide the latest labelling needs.

Core products

Core products of Texlabels India are predominantly self-adhesive labels available in varied sizes, dimensions, colours, and thicknesses. “We offer numerous options and choices of our self-adhesive labels to our clients. Mr Anurag adds, “Our self-adhesive labels are designed for diverse industries for different purposes and applications such as product identifications, anti-counterfeiting, and inventory controls. These labels are produced using premium grade PVC, PE, Paper, Vinyl and PP with high quality adhesion in multiple colour options. We make them available in roll form.”

He continues, “About our product labels, we offer them in choices of up to 8 colours whether it’s process or line colour work. Choices are available in UV or laminate, paper or film-based product labels which stand apart from the conventional ones available readily in the market. Unique appearances and textures of our product labels are the outcome of what we use to manufacture them. We always use high-quality materials, thin foil lamination, specialised adhesives, and select inks.”

Vast clientele

Texlabels India caters to clients dotted across different sectors, such as E-commerce, FMCG, Liquor, Pharmaceutical, among others. “Of them, E-commerce and FMCG are two such vibrant sectors where many of our big clients dwelled. Major E-commerce players like Flipkart, Amazon, and Reliance Retail are prime buyers of our labels,” mentions Mr Anurag, adding that some leading edible mustard and almond oil companies in the FMCG sector are also the company’s longstanding clients over the years.

According to Mr Anurag, some big brands in the hosiery garment and footwear industry have also been permanent in the client list of Texlabels India. He adds, “Though we have limited clients in the pharmaceutical sector, there are some homeopathic medicine companies who have been closely associated with us as our key clients for a long time.”

Production facility

Texlabels India boasts a state-of-the-art production facility at Srijan Industrial Logistic Park, located on Bombay Highway in Howrah. “We have two units, one for the domestic market while the other is for export activities. Our machine portfolio is primarily consisted of Weigang, Monotech, Daba, and ABG machines. Currently, we are running multiple Weigang multi-colour flexographic presses of 6, 7, and 8 colours with hot and cold foiling features,” informs Mr Anurag.

In the post-press division of Texlabels India, there are 12 rotary die cutting machines, 2 fan folding machines as well as multiple Weigang and Daba slitting & rewinding machines, ABG turret machine, and others including a string of sealing and strapping machines. “Currently, we are running a total of 35 machines in our production facility, backed by our team of more than 60 professionals, among which 8 are in managerial and administration,” says Mr Anurag.

Going global

In addition to domestic, Texlabels India is equally into the exports too. “We are currently exporting our products to the neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and others including Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Jordan. When we segregate our product volumes between the domestic and international markets, it’s a ratio of 50:50,” tells Mr Anurag.
