Established in 1907, Meech has earned a reputation for excellence in high-quality electrical engineering for developing electro-static control solutions for various industries. The company participated in Asia’s most prominent plastic show- The PlastIndia 2023, from 1st – 5th February 2023 at Pragati Pragati Maidan at Hall 4H-FP, Stand E-22, where they presented its latest technological developments to support the smooth production of the plastics industry. We spoke to Managing Director Mr.Rushil Shah about their participation and innovation.

Talking about their participation and the products displayed at the stand, He said, “We have demonstrated our wide range of electro-static products that provide anti-static protection and measurement, static generation, electro-static control, and elimination. These include various models Hyperion Ionising bars used in applications like Printing, Converting, Coating, and many more.’

‘Additionally, keeping with our strength as a leading Technology company in the Static Elimination field, we focussed on our Hyperion SmartControl Touch, which provides a range of benefits to high-end customers.’

Hyperion Ionising bar

The Hyperion Ionising bars are perfectly engineered and include several key characteristics, including Ion Current Monitoring (ICM) technology, clean pin alert and adjustable output voltage, frequency, and balance. The products displayed at the show had cutting-edge technology concerning Static elimination’

Hyperion SmartControl Touch

SmartControl Touch allows the user to monitor, control and adjust the performance of multiple connected Hyperion ionising bars and sensors via the integrated touch-screen or remotely via a mobile phone, tablet, or remote desktop. The ionising equipment’s performance is easily tracked by the SmartControl Touch, which uses Meech’s Ion Current Monitoring Technology, allowing the user to monitor the ionising performance.

‘We have many innovations; one of the key ones that we displayed at Plast India was first our new Hyperion SmartControl Touch which is Meech’s latest innovation, designed to meet the demands of modern automated industries and the growth of Industry 4.0 to achieve maximum productivity and output quality.’

The Hyperion 994CG for In Mould Labelling application

‘We also displayed the Hyperion 994CG Compact IML Generator, the first generator to be developed as part of the Hyperion range. Developed for the In Mould Labelling (IML) market, Meech has designed the 994CG to meet the growing demand for a compact, lightweight generator to fit on the end of a robot arm. Powered by a 21-30V DC supply, it is one of the most potent compact IML Generators available. We are happy to report that multiple users at the show had installed our systems on their robots.’

‘With the growing need for sustainable products, we perceive high demand for our new Hyperion 994CG Compact IML Generator over the next 2-3 years.’

Adding to the industry outlook and new developement, he said, ‘We had an excellent year (2022) as we emerged from the covid times. The capital expenditure has picked up, and end users have also ramped up capacity leading to an uptick in demand. Interestingly, our overall growth covers all traditional sectors like printing, converting, packaging, labeling, etc. We also saw considerable traction in the automotive industry, where we supply our Jet Stream cleaning systems. We are also closely monitoring new sectors like Lithium-ion call manufacturing, where we have Static Neutralisation and Cleaning application for which we have developed our new RoClean contact brush system for battery film.’PlastIndia 2023 ‘I feel the industry will thrive in 2023 as a whole, possibly ahead of the projected GDP growth rate, but for us, we have a tremendous amount of market penetration to do, and the adoption of Static elimination is still low, and hence our growth is projected to be over 15% as we increase our footprint and adoption through educative selling. We were pleasantly surprised with the number of serious visitors visiting our stand. After a long gap, the industry has come out in strength to make this show successful, and we believe there will be many qualified leads.’, concludes Rushil.
