Renault Paper Products Private Limited, incorporated in Mumbai (Maharashtra) in 2007, specializes in manufacturing a diverse range of paper products. These include paper tubes, paper cones, paper bobbins, composite containers, labels, and casing sleeves. With a specific focus on quality and innovation, the company has also been producing liquor labels for the past 20 years, establishing itself as a reliable name in the industry.

Recently, the company has installed Orthotec’s Semi Rotary Intermittent Flexo Press from Label Planet.

In discussing Renault Paper’s decision to purchase Orthotec’s Semi Rotary Intermittent Flexo Press, Managing Director Mahendra Shah explained, “After careful consideration, we determined that a digital machine was not the best fit for our needs. Instead, we opted for a Orthotec’s Semi Rotary Intermittent Flexo Press, which efficiently handles shorter-run jobs. This choice was driven by the fact that semi-rotary presses offer both letterpress and offset technology, providing versatility and efficiency. In our previous experience with conventional presses, short-run jobs resulted in a significant amount of waste, leading to substantial losses. The Semi Rotary Intermittent Flexo press addresses these issues, making it a more cost-effective and efficient solution for our short-run job requirements.”

Before transitioning to Renault Paper, the company operated under the name Punchline Paper Converters, primarily serving the offset industry. With the launch of Renault Paper, they expanded the business into the label sector, beginning with barcode labels and printed labels. Subsequently, they ventured into printing boarding passes and baggage tags for the airline industry and later entered the liquor industry. From the start, the company’s focus has been exclusively on printing roll-form labels. Their primary production equipment includes Omet presses, KDO machine, and a newly acquired Semi Rotary Orthotech machine.

“When comparing a Semi Rotary Intermittent Flexo Press to a conventional Flexo press, the print quality remains the same due to their similar operating principles. However, a semi-rotary press offers significant advantages in terms of time and tooling costs. Unlike conventional presses, a semi-rotary press does not require a larger cylinder, allowing you to start with smaller setups. Additionally, the compact length of the machine streamlines the production process. This efficiency enables us to handle orders of as few as 5,000 labels, making the semi-rotary press an ideal choice for both small and large-scale printing needs.”

“Orthotec’s Semi Rotary Intermittent Flexo Press marks an exciting step forward in their production capabilities of Renault Papers. This advanced machinery is specifically designed for producing small-quantity labels efficiently and with high precision. By integrating the semi-rotary flexo press into its operations, Renault Papers aims to enhance its production versatility and deliver top-quality labels to its customers with reduced lead times. This acquisition underscores Renault Papers’ commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to meet their clients’ diverse labelling needs.” says Amit Sheth, Managing Director of Label Planet.
