The company started its Digital packaging/printing journey in 2015 with Konica Minolta 1060; with an idea of expansion and capitalising on the growing label demand in roll form, the company has recently brought Konica Minolta Accuriolabel 230 and D.P.R. Digital Die Cutting machine.
Speaking about their business, the Managing Director of the company, Mr.Salim said, “We started our printing journey in 1982 from Rajkot, the unit catered to the only Auto industry. Currently, the unit is run by my brother. I came to Mumbai in 2006 and started label printing in sheet form. Gazing the requirement of capital equipment, we gradually bought various equipment at regular intervals. And recently, foresight the need for high-end on-demand Label manufacturing equipment, we have bought Accuriolabel 230 and D.P.R. Digital Die Cutting machine.”
Talking about the need for Accuriolabel 230, he said, “Previously, we used to manufacture Labels in sheet form. Hence they were too much labor was involved manually to peel and paste the labels on the products. Due to the pandemic, most laborers went to their native place and were unable; Accuriolabel 230 can print labels in roll forms, which helps the companies automatically paste the label onto the product via an automatic machine with perfection. Manually, we can paste labels up to 3000, but with the automatic machine, we can paste up to 10000 labels on the product with 100% accuracy.”
“Manually, it is difficult to paste labels accurately onto the product, but the machine can paste the labels accurately without it going out of product. All out clients demand Labels in roll form even for minimum 1000 labels.”
Speaking about the specialty of Accuriolabel 230, Salim added, “If we compare the printing results from Flexo equipment and Digital equipment, there is hardly any difference. In fact, the Flexo process is more time-consuming. The Labels printed from Konica Minolta Accuriolabel 230 can be compared to any Flexo machine in the world, and the result of Accuriolabel 230 will be better than any Flexo machine. UV varnish imposing labels are used in wine and whiskey bottles; we can print up to 1 lakh UV varnish labels in this machine. There is a process difference between Flexo Printing and Digital Printing, but the quality in Digital printing is better than Flexo and the customer also understands it.”
