17,532 trade visitors generate strong business enquiries for 185 exhibitors as co-located shows Print Expo Chennai and Media Expo Chennai concluded on a successful note.

After three days of business networking, product innovation and industry collaboration at the Chennai Trade Centre, the co-located shows Print Expo Chennai and Media Expo Chennai in collaboration with Sign India Expo, concluded successfully. The three-day event attracted 17,532 visitors from across 221 cities and 20 countries who explored the latest developments in commercial printing, digital printing, packaging, converting, signage, branding, automation, and finishing technologies. The exhibition featured 185 exhibitors and 250+ brands showcasing more than 550+ product innovations across 11,000+ gross sqm of exhibition space.

Participants expressed satisfaction with the quality of enquiries received, highlighting the event’s ability to connect them with genuine business prospects and build a strong pipeline for post-show engagements. The co-located exhibition served as a dynamic business platform for commercial printers, packaging converters, advertising agencies, signage manufacturers, print service providers, brand owners, exhibitors, investors, retailers, architects, and interior designers and professionals associated with printing, signage and branding industries – seeking the latest products, technologies and solutions to strengthen their businesses.

Speaking of the successful conclusion of the exhibition, Mr Sagar Garib Nawaz Wala, Proprietor of CMYK, said: “The main purpose of our coming here is to cover the signage industry, and the response I got here is mesmerising.” Sharing a similar experience, Mr Vikkas Chordia, Director, Excel India Tech, added, “We are into solutions for indoor and outdoor LED displays, and we have done projects in Australia as well as in Dubai. We have various energy-saving concepts and solutions for LED displays. This is my first time participating in Media Expo, and we have met good B2B and B2C clients who visited us. This exhibition is really great and helpful for us on a B2B scale. We are looking forward to a huge turnaround after the show.”

Many participating exhibitors received strong visitor interest in automation technologies, digital printing solutions, sustainable production solutions, and next-generation signage applications. This indicates that the customers prefer modern, efficient, and eco-friendly manufacturing solutions and are willing to invest in new technologies. The quality of interactions reflected a market increasingly focused on productivity, operational efficiency, and sustainable manufacturing, giving exhibitors confidence in a healthy post-show business profile.

Among the technologies drawing significant attention was HP’s first-of-its-kind large-format inkjet printing solution, featuring a continuous bottle-based ink system, which became a huge success at the show and was designed to reduce printing costs significantly. Highlighting its market response, Mr G Vijay Kumar, Regional Sales Manager – South India – HP Designjet, Pagewide & Latex Printer, HP Inc. said, “From the HP brand, we are participating for the first time in South India; we have been participating in other regions, but with Messe Frankfurt, we have taken a chance for Chennai at this edition. We are feeling so happy after seeing the response; the customers are flooding in. We did not expect such a great response. This is our first experience in South India, and customers are also happy because earlier they didn’t have space to find HP in the expo, so we have filled that gap with the help of the organisers and are looking forward to the future shows.”

Surat-based company True Colours manufactures inks and sublimation papers and has expanded into commercial printing. At Print Expo they launched three new products: first being the digital book printer as the market is more into paper printing; for their second display they presented a new concept for India with their entry level integrated printing and cutting system which can do printing, lamination, foiling, cutting in a single process and third – the embellishment printer which can do foiling, spot UV and embossing foiling. Mr Gulshan Kumar, General Manager (Business Head) – Commercial (Inkjet Printing Division), True Colors, quoted: “The response has been pretty good, and we have very serious customers. We have closed some business during the show and are expecting more after the event. South India is the region in India where people tend to adopt new technologies faster than in other regions. South is a very mature market for commercial printing, and people tend to adopt new technologies. Book printing, though not a new concept, has been in the market for quite some time, but the market is now maturing. A lot of people are now showing interest, and they want to move towards short-run printing and print-on-demand requirements.”

Beyond product showcases, the exhibition proved a valuable networking opportunity for manufacturers, distributors, dealers, and end users. Visitors engaged directly with industry experts to understand evolving marketing trends, emerging technologies, and practical solutions to grow the business. These live product demonstrations were an excellent way to generate considerable interest among exhibitors, commercial printers, and business owners.

Throughout the exhibition, exhibitors had meaningful interactions with serious buyers and manufacturers from across South India and other parts of India. Mr Vivek Sharma, CEO of Aditya Flex, said, “There was very nice footfall. It was a very meaningful crowd for us; we also got some good leads. Earlier it was more or less only South-based people visiting the show, but what we have seen this time is that visitors from West, Central and East India are also coming in, so it’s like we are getting more exposure; rather, I would say, it was a good one.”

As one of the most established sourcing platforms for print and visual communications, Print Expo Chennai and Media Expo Chennai continue to connect technology providers with buyers consistently. The successful conclusion of the 2026 edition reinforces the exhibition’s significance as a key trade platform for professionals looking to invest in future-ready technology and expand their market reach.

The organisers extend their sincere appreciation to exhibitors, visitors, industry associations, media partners and all stakeholders whose continued support contributed to another successful edition. The next editions of Print Expo Chennai and Media Expo Chennai are expected to return with an even broader showcase of technologies, innovations and business opportunities, further strengthening South India’s position as a leading hub for printing, packaging, branding and visual communications.
