For the past few decades, the IFCA Star awards program is held annually to recognize excellence in Flexible Packaging, Cartons, Inks, Adhesives, Films, and other related segments. The IFCA Star awards are the pride of the industry, and winners of the IFCA Star awards can then directly participate in the World Star Awards. The non-IFCA members and FMCG organisations can also join in the contest. The idea of awards is to laurels the company and its personnel for their efforts. This year the award function is held on 15th September.
Categories of the awards are as below:

2. Carton packaging: Innovations & Creativity including Shapes, New applications, New forms.
3. Structural innovations, Graphic Designs
4. Enviro products
5. Associate industries like Inks, Adhesives, Coatings, Films, Polymers: Innovations and New developments
6. Packaging Machineries: Innovations / New developments in Packaging Machineries – Converting machines, including Packing and Filling machines.
7. Best Branding through Packaging for FMCG, Pharma and other consumer product industries.
8. R&D achievements in Packaging.
9. Students’ category
The company can submit any number of entries in any category, and the same sample can qualify for one or more categories.
The Indian Flexible Packaging and Folding Carton Association (IFCA) has been a national body that has addressed the needs of the Flexible Packaging and Folding Carton industry for the last five decades.
With the market on an unprecedented growth path, innovations and creativity become the key to sustenance. Packaging industries, specifically flexible and carton packaging, have made tremendous strides in the last few years. In their growth story, they have offered solutions to many of the problems faced by the packers.
The IFCA STAR AWARD provides a platform for encouraging the needed creativity and continuous improvement. It is a prestigious award for Flexible Packaging, Carton Packaging and associate segments like Inks, Adhesives, Films, etc. The manufacturers of these packaging materials, their suppliers and the end users participate widely and showcase their innovations in this competitive event organized by IFCA.
Over the years, IFCA has increased the number of categories for awards to include associate manufacturers like Inks, Adhesives, Films, Packaging Machines, etc. We are also creating new categories like Best Branding through Packaging, Packaging R&D, etc., to encourage broader participation.
