The momentum is building for this year’s Labelexpo India – the region’s largest label and package printing event.
Less than a week away, this 6th edition of the biennial show, set to take place once again at state-of-the-art venue India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida (Delhi NCR) from 22-25 November, promises to be its largest yet. With 250 exhibitors from across the label and package printing industry, this is an increase of 25% on the 2016 edition. Companies on board include Avery Dennison, Bobst, Esko, HP, Hyden Packaging, Martin Automatic, Monotech Systems, Nilpeter, OMET, RK Label, Xeikon, and Zhejiang Weigang Machinery.
Aimed at printers, designers, brand owners and industry suppliers, Labelexpo India brings the whole supply chain together under one roof, and is the region’s key platform for businesses to showcase their latest machinery, innovations and products. This year’s theme is “Experience the Future” to reflect the speed at which the industry is moving, in the world’s fastest growing major economy, in one of the world’s fastest growing label markets.
Many Indian offset printers are now diversifying into label and package printing, creating a huge appetite for innovation and technology. With few local manufacturers in India, and almost 50% of its GDP from trade abroad, this presents fantastic opportunities for overseas business, and Labelexpo India is the ideal place to explore the potential.
Part of the hugely successful Labelexpo Global Series since 2007, this year’s show is again strongly supported and endorsed by trade bodies including the Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI), Delhi Printers Association and the All India Federation of Master Printers. The prestigious LMAI Avery Dennison Label Awards, which celebrate industry excellence, will also take place on 22 November, the first night of the show.
Alongside the anticipated press developments being unveiled from leading manufacturers at the show, plus smart technology, finishing units and materials, the show offers an ideal networking opportunity for visitors. Machinery and technology on show include Bobst’s M5 printing and converting line, Weigang Machinery’s high speed ZJR-330 flexo printing press, Nilpeter’s new generation FB-Line, Kores’ Endura 2801 high speed label printing device, H.B Fuller’s Swift®melt technology, Konica Minolta’s AccurioLabel 190, BST eltromat’s 100% defect detection and web viewing system for narrow web, and VINSAK’s two 8-color Lombardi Synchroline UV flexo presses.
Attendees can also take part in an exclusive Labelexpo India Brand Innovation Day on day one of the show, and will comprise presentations followed by an onsite tour of key exhibitors. This fact-finding day, aimed at brand owners, will highlight the latest technologies and how brands can achieve stand-out product presence.
A series of forums have also been taking place around India, plus Bangladesh and Sri Lanka for the very first time. These are designed to give offset printers a taste of the scope and opportunity on offer at Labelexpo India, and the chance to network with others in the industry.
